We recommend all drivers and passengers wear a helmet at all times while in the Slingshot. Renters are welcome to provide their own helmets (must be DOT certified). Delaware law requires a helmet to be with the vehicle while in operation.
The classification of the Polaris Slingshot® is state-dependent*. The most common classifications are motorcycle, which requires a motorcycle endorsement or license, and autocycle which only requires a state driver's license**. In the State of Delaware, a motorcycle endorsement is not needed to drive a Polaris Slingshot.
All renters are required to view the slingshot safety video. A link to the video may be found on our website and will also be included in the rental confirmation email. By picking up the vehicle, you are affirming that you have viewed the required video and agree to adhere to the information therein.
